1. Prepare the Cable
Strip about 2-3 cm (1 inch) of the outer jacket from the cable using a cable stripper.
Untwist the wire pairs and arrange them according to the color-coding scheme (usually following T568A or T568B standards).
2. Insert Wires into the Krone Module
Open the Krone module (if it has a cover) or align the wires with the Insulation Displacement Connector (IDC) slots.
Place each wire into its corresponding slot (ensure correct pairing):
White/Blue → Slot 1
Blue → Slot 2
White/Orange → Slot 3
Orange → Slot 4
White/Green → Slot 5
Green → Slot 6
White/Brown → Slot 7
Brown → Slot 8
3. Terminate the Wires
Use a Krone punch-down tool to press each wire firmly into its slot.
The tool will cut excess wire and ensure a gas-tight connection.
Ensure all wires are fully seated and no strands are sticking out.
4. Secure the Module (If Applicable)
If the module has a protective cover, close it to protect the connections.
If mounting on a patch panel or distribution frame, snap or screw it into place.
5. Test the Connection
Use a cable tester to verify continuity and correct wiring.
Check for cross-talk or loose connections if signal issues occur.
